Languages of Emotion
At the interdisciplinary research center Languages of Emotion of Freie Universität Berlin, scholars and scientists from over 20 disciplines investigate the complex relationships between emotions and language, art, culture, and society. Languages of Emotion was founded in 2007 within the German Excellence Initiative.
Interdisciplinary emotion research
A wide range of emotion research topics and questions have been at the heart of more than 70 individual research projects. The Dahlem Institute of Neuroimaging of Emotion (D.I.N.E.) provides state-of-the-art neurocognitive laboratories for scientists and scholars. Our graduate school gives doctoral students the opportunity to pursue their projects in an interdisciplinary environment.
